Tips for proper maintenance of your padel court
Let's start from the basics ...
- Synthetic grass The pitch can withstand an average of 5000 hours of play, but obviously needs to be monitored constantly and cleaned from any external agents (vegetables, moss or possible debris, which could damage or cut it).
- Even more important it is the sand, which on the padel court is used to regulate the bounce of the ball and which must be redistributed daily, to prevent it from accumulating on the sides and to offer the player a perfect court at all times.
- The choice of screed, made upstream, can affect the maintenance of the court: it can be made of reinforced concrete or porous concrete and may or may not allow play in case of rain. In the former case, the water does not drain, and therefore a covered padel court is necessary for playing even in adverse weather conditions.
- Prevent the possible appearance of ruggine The maintenance of the structure is essential both to preserve its quality and safety, and to maintain the Club's high image and avoid a decaying appearance. For this purpose, a galvanizing process is always recommended - if not already provided by default.
- Periodic check of screws, bolts and anchor plates.
- Periodic check of glassRegularly cleaning the glass on your padel court isn't enough to keep it in good condition; it's important to check the silicone seal and tighten any loose bolts. This applies to both glass and temperate that stratified.
- Monitor the functionality of the system lighting and possibly replace parts damaged over time.
- Periodically check the cleanliness of the mechanical systems, in case of a padel court with retractable cover.
