General informations

Who is AmarantoIdea and what exactly do you do?

AmarantoIdea designs, manufactures, and installs aluminum tent structures, tunnels and portable shelters, geodesic domes, padel court covers, and structures for agriculture, riding stables, and events. We offer turnkey solutions, with structures certified to current regulations and sized based on snow and wind loads and their intended use.

In which areas do you work? Do you operate only in Italy or also abroad?

Our operations are based in Italy, but we operate nationwide. For specific projects, we can also evaluate installations abroad, analyzing logistics, transportation, and assembly times and costs.

Do you design only the roofs or also the building works (foundations, foundations, etc.)?

For aluminum/PVC structural components, we handle the design, production, and installation directly. For construction work, we can collaborate with your trusted technician or offer our network of professionals for surveys, structural design, and project management. Our goal is to provide, where necessary, a single point of contact for the entire project.

Technical inspection

Do you carry out technical inspections?

Yes, we perform technical inspections. The inspection is part of our working method to properly plan the project and define the most suitable solution for the context.

You can learn more about our inspection philosophy here: AmarantoIdea Technical Survey (PDF).

Tensile structures and mobile tunnels

What is the difference between a tent structure, a mobile tunnel, and a traditional warehouse?

The aluminum and PVC tent/tunnel is a lightweight, modular, removable, and often movable structure, ideal for covering storage, production, or logistics areas. Compared to a traditional concrete or steel warehouse, it is quicker to install; more flexible (it can be expanded, shortened, or moved); and in many cases, the permit process can be simplified (always check with a qualified technician).

What materials are your tent structures made of?

The structures are made with structural aluminum profiles and heavy PVC sheets specifically designed for industrial and sports use, resistant to UV rays and weathering. Depending on the project, we use: blackout or translucent PVC; thermal membranes; canvas, panel, or mixed-use walls.

How long does a PVC shed/tunnel last? Will the tarp yellow or deteriorate?

With certified materials and proper maintenance, the lifespan of PVC tarpaulins is typically several years; in standard settings, it can easily exceed a decade. This lifespan depends on: exposure to sun and wind; environment (industrial, agricultural, marine, etc.); and frequency and quality of maintenance (washing, tarpaulin tension checks). Aluminum structures are even more durable and, with proper maintenance, have a very long lifespan.

Coverings for padel courts

What is the difference between a fixed, retractable, and pressostatic padel cover?

Fixed padel cover: Aluminum/steel + PVC structure that's always closed, ideal for intensive courts and continuous use. Retractable/openable padel cover: Roof or sides that open for an indoor court in the winter and a more open and ventilated court in the summer. Pressurized cover (ball): PVC casing inflated with overpressurized air. AmarantoIdea solutions focus on stable and modular structures, with a focus on playing comfort, aesthetics, and long-term management costs.

Do your padel court covers comply with regulations?

Yes. Projects are sized based on current structural regulations and the heights/dimensions required for padel. During the quote, we always specify whether the proposed solution is suitable for: official tournaments and competitions; amateur use/private clubs.

Can I cover one or more padel courts quickly?

Yes. AmarantoIdea padel covers are modular: they can cover one, two, or more courts, and subsequent expansions can be planned without demolishing the existing structure. Actual production and assembly times depend on the time of year, project complexity, and workload, but we provide an indicative timeline when submitting your quotation.

Can the roof be opened in the summer? How does a retractable awning work?

Yes, we offer retractable covers that can be partially or fully opened: manual or motorized systems; partial or full opening, depending on the climate and preferences; greater ventilation and comfort during the warmer months. This solution allows you to enjoy the club all year round, adapting the structure to the different seasons.

Agriculture, livestock farming and riding stables

What kind of facilities do you provide for agriculture and livestock farming?

We build: agricultural tunnels for storing hay, equipment, and vehicles; shelters for animal shelters; structures for stables and covered paddocks; geodesic domes, and special structures for innovative projects. Each structure is sized based on the area's snow/wind loads and its actual intended use.

Can a riding arena tent really withstand snow and wind?

Yes, if designed for the specific climate zone. Our structures are calculated for: snow load required by law; wind action; and any unfavorable combinations, according to the Technical Building Standards. For riding stables, we also consider: working height for riding; natural/forced ventilation; and any movable side enclosures for microclimate management.

Geodesic domes

What can I do with an AmarantoIdea geodesic dome?

Geodesic domes are ideal for: glamping and experiential tourist accommodation projects; lounge areas, restaurants, and panoramic bars; exhibition spaces, cultural and sporting events; and visually striking scenic installations. These structures combine design, modularity, and a striking aesthetic.

Do geodesic domes require the same permits as traditional prefabricated buildings?

It depends on its use, size, and duration: in many situations, a geodesic dome is considered a fully functional building; in others, it may be considered a temporary or seasonal solution. The classification and type of permit (building permit, SCIA, CILA, communication, etc.) must always be verified by a qualified technician according to municipal regulations.

Can they be insulated for 4-season use?

Yes. We can configure insulated domes for year-round use with: internal liners; multiple membranes; thermal windows; and provision for heating/cooling systems. This ensures a comfortable environment in both winter and summer.

Permits, regulations and certifications

Do you need a building permit to set up a tent or is a SCIA (Regional Road Traffic Act) sufficient?

There's no one-size-fits-all answer. The correct classification depends on: duration (temporary, seasonal, permanent); ground anchors; volume; and intended use (industrial, sports, agricultural, hospitality).

Our facilities are removable and, where the conditions are met, they can be included in free constructionAlternatively, we can provide the construction with project and calculations according to NTC2018.

To learn more about permit-related issues, you can also consult our office: Urban Planning Feasibility Study (PDF).

Are your facilities certified according to Italian and European regulations?

Yes. AmarantoIdea projects are developed in accordance with the Technical Construction Standards and applicable European standards, including: structural calculations; technical reports; and material specifications. We can provide a technical summary during the quotation phase; complete documentation is provided during the execution phase.

Do you handle all the construction paperwork or do I have to take care of it?

You have a choice: we'll coordinate with your trusted technician, or we'll connect you with professionals who can handle the entire process (paperwork, calculations, reporting, and filing with the Municipality). The goal is to ensure you have a clear path from the application to the final inspection.

Prices and payments

How much does a padel tent or cover cost?

The price depends on several factors: size and height; snow/wind loads in the area; type of fabric (standard, blackout, thermal); and accessories (gates, high-speed doors, skylights, systems, etc.). Therefore, it makes no sense to provide a general price per square meter: we prefer to prepare a detailed, free quote after analyzing your specific case.

Do you offer rental options or payment plans?

Yes, in many cases we can evaluate solutions such as operational leasing and structured payment plans. When you contact us, we'll analyze your needs and propose the most sustainable solution.

Can I take advantage of calls for tenders or incentives for agriculture, sport, or innovation?

In many cases, regional calls for tenders, PSR (Regional Development Plan), funds for sports facilities, or green transitions allow financing for structures such as tents, tunnels, and shelters. We can't replace your tax advisor, but we can: point you to interesting opportunities; provide all the technical and cost documentation necessary for the application.

Times, maintenance and assistance

How long does it take for an AmarantoIdea structure to be delivered and assembled?

Times vary on average between 90 and 120 working days, subject to availability of facilities in prompt delivery.

How long does assembly take on site? Do I have to stop work?

Assembling a tent or padel cover is generally quicker than a traditional warehouse. We plan the construction site to minimize the impact on production. Where possible, we work in phases or overtime. During the on-site inspection, we work together to determine how to organize the work to minimize downtime.

What kind of maintenance do the structures require?

Routine maintenance includes: periodic checks of awning tension and fastenings; inspection of gutters, drains, and sensitive areas; and, if necessary, washing the awnings with suitable detergents. We can implement scheduled maintenance plans for sports facilities, riding stables, agricultural, and industrial structures.

Do you offer after-sales service and spare parts?

Yes. We guarantee after-sales assistance with the option of: providing replacement covers; replacing structural components or accessories; and intervening in the event of damage from weather or wear.

For protection and recovery over time, it is also available AmaranthCARE: Discover AmarantoCARE or read the brochure.

Estimate and design

What happens after I fill out the form on the website?

After your request, we analyze the data you entered (structure type, dimensions, use, area). If we need further details, we'll contact you for a technical call or an on-site inspection. We'll prepare a detailed quote with one or more options. Once accepted, we'll begin the executive design, production, and construction planning. You'll have a dedicated contact throughout the entire process.

Is it possible to have a 3D project or rendering before confirming?

For complex projects (sports facilities, glamping, riding stables, multi-purpose facilities), we can provide 3D renderings, plan views, and volumetric simulations to help you visualize the final result and better evaluate the solution.

Quality of materials and guarantees

Are your PVC sheets high-quality? What does the matte PVDF treatment mean?

Our awnings are treated with a matte PVDF coating: a high-end finish that protects the awning and helps maintain its aesthetics and performance over time. The PVDF coating provides greater UV protection and reduces dirt adhesion, making cleaning easier. The matte finish prevents excessive glare and enhances the structure's visual impact.

What guarantee do you offer on the structures and covers?

AmarantoIdea offers a lifetime warranty on the frame and a 5-year warranty on the cover.
